Waahine inspiring waahine

Join Hamilton Kirikiriroa’s celebration of Waikato waahine and all their goals in collaboration with the FIFA Women’s World Cup™.

We are honouring Waikato waahine, from all backgrounds, who have a goal. The 11 women featured here are only a few of many who have positively impacted and inspired our community, and we’re only just kicking off.

Without a goal you can't score!

You’ll be surprised what you can achieve if you have a goal and the drive to put it into action. Be inspired by our FIRST XI who have already achieved so much.

What are your goals?

Feeling inspired?

When it comes to achieving success, having clear and realistic targets is key. That's where SMART goals come in.

SMART is a handy tool that helps you plan and conquer your objectives. While people interpret the acronym in different ways, the main idea is that goals should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

By using SMART, you can create goals that are crystal clear, doable, and meaningful. It's all about finding the motivation, making an action plan, and getting the support you need to make those goals a reality.

So go ahead, dream big and start setting your own goals!

Behind the scenes

A special mention to Sophie Miya-Smith, a waahine photographer, one of the many responsible for the amazing portraits above.

Kia ora to everyone who made this possible. He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata!
